BEHIND THE IDEAS

A little about me.

Hi, I'm Kevin Hayden, a business owner, mental health professional, marathon runner, and someone in long-term recovery. I've spent more than 20 years working in mental health, learning about human behavior and what it takes to actually make changes.

But my interest in change goes well beyond my professional work. My own experiences have taught me a great deal about what it takes to change, navigate setbacks, build better systems, and put ideas into practice.

This website is a place to bring those perspectives together and share what I've learned along the way.

A Few Other Interests

Movement & the Outdoors

Running has become a big part of my life, but I enjoy movement in general. I like the challenge of setting a goal, working toward it, and seeing what I'm capable of. That might mean training for a marathon, or it might mean something much smaller.

I've also found that staying active and getting outside make a real difference in my physical and mental health. It doesn't always have to be about the next race. Sometimes getting outside and moving is enough.

Building & Storytelling

When I built the website for Whole Mind Therapy & Counseling, I wanted more than a place to list services. I wanted to tell the story of why I started the practice, what mattered to me, and what made it different.

Along the way, I discovered that I really enjoyed the creative process of building websites. That eventually led to helping other therapists create websites that tell their own stories and reflect who they are.
